QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Required:Master's Degree with a minimum of eighteen semester hours in English or related field, with a minimum of 18.0 graduate hours in English.
Preferred:Experience with teaching adults
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
- Teach undergraduate classes in English each term.
- Academic advising of students.
- Active participation in college committees.
- Manage course grading and records management.
- Contribute to department-wide program development and assessment.
- Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the general college community.
