The anticipated start date is August 2024, though future semesters are possibly available. The instructor will teach face-to-face courses on the Warrensburg campus. These classes may also include a mix of synchronous and/or on-line instruction. This position may teach up to 9 credit hours per semester. UCM reserves the right to change the delivery method at any time during the academic year. Examples of DutiesPosition Duties include:
- Teach the assigned course(s) throughout the semester.
- Prepare materials needed for course lectures, exams and other class projects.
- Be available to communicate with students by email, phone, web conferencing, or face-to face meetings.
- Report grades, as needed, throughout the semester.
- Participate in/lead cultural activities/cultural programming when possible.
Typical Qualifications Education:
- Master's degree or current Master's student in Teaching English as a 2nd Language or related field.
- Master's Degree in another field with previous language teaching experience.
Experience:
- A commitment to teaching excellence.
- Excellent language skills.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Study Abroad or Living Abroad or Language Learning experience is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and languages preferred.
- Availability to participate in/lead cultural programming/events preferred
