The Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for working in partnership with the community schools' staff to develop and oversee enrichment activities and programming during in-school and out of school time. This person will be utilizing community resources and families to identify students' needs and provide them with the structure and access to resources necessary for student success.WORK HOURS: Full-time, typically Mon-Fri following the school calendar but requiring weekend/evening hours for extracurricular activities, 37.5+ hrs/wkMINIMUM PAY: $45,000/yr, hourly/non-exempt, based on experience, certification, and education.LOCATION: Bloomington-Normal, IL, will work from a Unit 5 assigned schoolMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED AS OUR NEXT ENRICHMENT COORDINATOR:Bachelor's degree in recreation, early childhood education, child development, social work, psychology or related human services field AND five years of experience working with children in educational, activity or social service programs required, OR bachelor's degree in another field plus seven years of relevant experience.Fluent in conversational Spanish strongly preferred for some locations.Excellent verbal and written skills.Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, agency staff, parents and community partners.Works a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some weekends to meet the needs of the children and families we serve.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ENRICHMENT COORDINATOR INCLUDE:Assessment: Assesses strengths and identifies needs of the school community, initially and throughout the period of service provision. Conducts yearly needs assessments of families and students' needs to develop a robust family and community engagement plan. Promulgates and maintains school asset map.Service Planning: Develops new and utilizes existing community resources to implement comprehensive expanded learning time programs (i.e., after-school, summer, weekends, etc.) so students can master core concepts and skills, remove barriers to academic achievement, promote youth development, and align school, community, and family resources behind a shared vision for student success.Program Coordination: Coordinates with school administration and agency supervisory staff in planning for and scheduling programming and/or events for the students and/or their families.
