The ideal candidate will have expertise in any one of a multitude of skills including robotics, photography, nature, mommy and me, and more. As an Enrichment Instructor, you will inspire creativity, foster artistic growth, and create a supportive learning environment for students of all ages.RequirementsResponsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for various art forms.Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to the needs and skill levels of diverse students.Provide hands-on guidance, demonstrations, and feedback to help students develop their artistic abilities.Manage classroom dynamics and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and critiques, and provide constructive feedback.Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.Engage with the local community and promote art education through exhibitions, showcases, and community events.Qualifications:A Degree in STEM, Early Education, or a related field is preferred, but we will entertain candidates with a personal passion or hobby in their preferred art form.Previous experience teaching, preferably in a formal educational setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students of all ages and backgrounds.Creativity, innovation, and a genuine passion for inspiring creativity and self-expression through art.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners and accommodate changes in schedule or curriculum.Benefits of working part-time at GSCY include:FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in the Nation.10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA.Access to one of the leading retirement programs Y Retirement Fund from the first day of employment.Opportunities for professional development, mentoring, growth, and promotion throughout the YMCA Movement.Supportive and inclusive community for people of all backgrounds and access to Employee Resource Networks.Greater Somerset County YMCA is a drug-free work environment.
