Title: Enrollment and Support Services Assistant Reports To: Program Services Coordinator Who is Persevere? Are you passionate about helping people in need? Persevere is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing support throughout the correctional/rehabilitative life cycle. We run a coding education program aimed at teaching inmates and parolees coding skills. Our comprehensive program also offers job search and placement services, instruction in essential soft skills for the workplace, life skills education, mentoring support, and entrepreneurial training for those interested in starting their own coding businesses and marketing their services to companies nationwide. Job Overview The Enrollment and Support Services Assistant will support the Program Services Coordinator and the Support Services departments, including Enrollment, Support Specialists, Mental Health, and Career Readiness, by performing administrative, data, outreach, and communication tasks that contribute to efficient program operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping programs function effectively in service of our participants. This is a salaried, overtime-exempt position with excellent benefits, subject to passing a reference check, background check, and drug screen. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: • Manage general email inquiries, including those related to grievances, outreach with external stakeholders, and program information. Draft responses and forward messages to appropriate team members, ensuring timely and effective communication. • Collaborate with the Program Services Coordinator and the Enrollment Specialist to support participant recruitment, data management, and enrollment procedures. • Assist the Program Services Coordinator in ensuring students transition smoothly from the accepted stage to the admitted stage of enrollment, providing necessary support and follow-up to facilitate a seamless enrollment experience. • Support outreach efforts by assisting in the coordination and communication with community partners, local service providers, and potential participants to promote program visibility and engagement. • Perform data entry and maintain accurate participant records, following established policies and best practices in data management. • Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and preparing documents, to support the Program Services Coordinator and department leads.• Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking notes to facilitate communication across program departments. • Assist with compiling and organizing data for program reports, supporting the Program Services Coordinator in program assessment and performance tracking. • Adhere to organizational protocols and contribute to the creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency. • Complete corporate training as required and participate in cross-training to support team cohesion and coverage. • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and priorities of the Program Services Coordinator and Persevere's mission. Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should have: • Associate's degree in business administration, human services, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • One to three years of related administrative or program support experience. • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail, particularly in data entry and document management. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in both team and independent settings. • A passion for helping underserved populations and a commitment to Perseveres mission.
