We offer more than 80 affordable degree and certificate programs to nearly 2,000 full-time and 7,500 part-time students, as well as a wide variety of noncredit continuing education courses to nearly 11,000 students per year.Job DescriptionThe Enrollment Management Assistant works within the Enrollment Management Office and with other departments to assist students in completing the HCC student enrollment process.Duties include:Assisting with outreach activities aimed at prospective and current students;Providing practical assistance to students to complete the enrollment process;Responding to requests for information and providing explanations of the College's procedures and policies to students and parents;Performing data entry and extraction in the College's student information database;Maintaining electronic and hard-copy files;Assisting in the Test Center coverage and other enrollment management units as needed;Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.As a condition of employment, this position requires participation in a Maryland State Retirement System plan.Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.Required EducationA minimum of an associate's degree.Required ExperienceOne year of experience in a position that involves customer service and data management.Required Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to navigate information systemsProficiency in a Windows-based computer environment, including programs in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong customer service skillsStrong communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with diverse populations and student support services.Hours per Week20General Weekly Work ScheduleAssigned work hours will be Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Occasional weekends (Saturdays) and evening work hours, especially during peak enrollment periods should be expected.
