Enrollment Registration Specialist (Higher Education Assistant) POSITION DETAILS New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering 58 associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for the Enrollment Registration Specialist. As a member of the Registrar's office, the Enrollment Registration Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing information and support for enrollment services and degree requirements. Reporting to the Registrar and the Associate Registrar, the Enrollment Registration Specialist will: Oversee registration for Early College Initiative and College Now, and liaise with program coordinators with all registration activities as needed.Support the Associate Registrar in managing the online transcript ordering platform and collaborate with CUNY Central Office to ensure that Alumni and current student transcript requests are processed.Process the Enrollment and Graduation files reported to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and facilitate the resolution of related system and data discrepancies to ensure correct and timely processing so that the college remains in compliance.Serve as a knowledge resource for all constituents and interpret and communicate relevant College policies and procedures.Uphold confidentiality of student records and follow all recordkeeping policies and governmental regulations including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).Accurately process student data change requests, i.e. registrations, withdrawals, changes of personal information, readmissions, curriculum changes, and enrollment/degree verifications as required.Perform semesterly graduation reviews and degree certifications.Provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, administrators and the public.Additional duties as assigned by the Registrar or Associate Registrar. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience with records management in a college or university Registrar's Office is highly desirable.Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as CUNYfirst or PeopleSoft, DegreeWorks, FACTS, and how data flows from one system to another.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.Ability to manage and analyze data, including reports.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and student information systems.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, allowing for effective, collaborative, and cooperative working relationships with a diverse community of learners, students, faculty, staff and external constituencies in a large centralized public university system.Ability to use tact and diplomacy while resolving complex problems. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Administers College registration operations under management direction. Coordinates registration services such as grade collection entries and changes, publication of semester course offerings, final examination schedules, classroom scheduling and requests for student information.Promotes policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations; advises College personnel regarding the development and implementation of responses to regulatory changes.Oversees the conformity of record release procedures to management policies and legal requirements, including the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable laws and regulations governing the confidentiality of student records.Creates and reviews student communications from the Registrar's Office; ensures transcript and Degree verification requests are handled in a timely manner.Recommends and implements improvements to office operations; assists with strategic planning.Prepares reports and analyses on registration activities.May train faculty and staff on retention techniques, record-keeping protocol and/or registration systems.May supervise office operations and/or department budget.Performs related duties as assigned. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $75,465 - $90,375. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
