JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Penn State Beaver seeks an
Enrollment Services Specialist to provide support for current and prospective students regarding financial aid and admissions. Penn State Beaver is a residential Commonwealth campus of Penn State University, serving students from local, national, and international communities. The campus is committed to a diverse student body, cultural inclusiveness, and equitable experiences for all students.The successful candidate will:
- Serve as the point-of-contact for admissions and student aid questions
- Provide advice and guidance on the policies and procedures related to the admissions application and FAFSA
- Troubleshoot admissions and financial aid problems and assist with aid verifications
- Manage communications including phone, email, and mail
- Coordinate admissions and financial aid events
- Hire, train and manage student workers
- Order supplies, manage inventory and pay invoices
POSITION REQUIREMENTSExperience with customer-relationship management (CRM) system, student information system, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is helpful. The successful candidate must possess:
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to explain complex instructions in an easy-to-understand manner
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Commitment to teamwork
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEThis position requires an associate degree or higher plus 2 years of experience in a professional environment working with the public, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The position also requires:
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
- Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
- This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
- A valid driver's license is required
- Fluency in Spanish
