Job Description:

Our Client seeks an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Senior Analyst to join their second line of defense, supporting the Controls Testing Team. This role is part of the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Group, responsible for developing and implementing the organization's risk management framework. This group is critical in providing expert guidance, credible challenges, and effective oversight of organizational risk-taking activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business unit management and stakeholders to proactively identify and assess operational, technology, reputational, strategic, financial, and legal risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, corporate, and functional requirements.
  • Support leadership in executing and enhancing Second Line of Defense Enterprise and Operational Risk Programs, including control testing and Issue Management.
  • Assist in executing the Controls Testing Program by working closely with Business Partners and supporting other risk management programs.
  • Promote a strong risk culture by elevating the risk knowledge of associates and leaders by deploying best practices.
  • Assist in implementing the organization's Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework.
  • Contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives by producing high-quality deliverables, including procedural documents, reports, and presentations for various management levels.
  • Collaborate across work streams and support cross-functional efforts to enhance ERM/ORM programs.
  • Help develop frameworks and standards for the first-line of defense operational risk management requirements and act as a subject matter expert for first-line risk liaisons.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operations Management, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Proven understanding of control testing and Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA) in areas such as information technology, general banking operations, deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and other banking products and services.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to manage teams and drive organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage complex situations effectively.
  • Relevant industry experience across one or more of the three lines of defense.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and other commercial banking products and services.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
