This position is highly visible throughout all businesses and functions within Ryan Specialty and provides an opportunity to gain exposure to all levels of management. Position Summary: The Enterprise Risk Manager is responsible for the development of enterprise risk metrics and methodologies and the monitoring, analysis and reporting of risk exposures. This role supports organizational compliance with risk policies through regular risk exposure monitoring and reporting and is responsible for documenting and reporting of risk policy exceptions to the Chief Internal Audit and Risk Officer. This is a highly collaborative role and requires strong communication skills. What will your job entail? Essential Functions:
  • Works with the Chief Internal Audit and Risk Officer to lead the execution of the enterprise risk management framework, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and risk appetite.
  • Implements and manages the ERM framework and program procedures. Ensures the ERM program operates effectively and efficiently across the organization.
  • Works with the Chief Internal Audit and Risk Officer in the identification, assessment, and prioritization of enterprise-wide risks. Identifies risk mitigation strategies and monitoring plans.
  • Works with the business function leaders to document and map key business processes and identify key controls to inform risk and control assessments.
  • Collaborates with the internal audit team to support audit activities and integrate ERM insights into the audit process. Provides risk assessment information to inform audit planning and execution.
  • Fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, and other risk management functions and promotes a culture of risk awareness.
  • Communicates risk management objectives, initiatives, and outcomes effectively.
  • Maintains risk reporting mechanisms to provide timely and relevant risk information to the Internal Audit leadership team, executive management, and the Audit Committee.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the company's Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform.
  • Educates and train staff on ERM principles, tools, and techniques. Promotes continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Monitors Key Risk Indicators and investigates and reports on threshold breaches.
  • Monitors execution against agreed-upon action plans and reports progress.
  • Provides guidance to staff in the execution of assigned projects, including
  • progress and quality.
  • Accountable for delivering results within the agreed-upon timeframes and budgets.
  • Develops clear and concise written deliverables.
Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Six or more years of audit or risk management experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, risk management or other related discipline.
  • Relevant audit certification is required (e.g., CIA, CRM, CRMA).
  • Strong audit or risk management background with understanding of risks and controls.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving skills and commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated team player with client-service attitude and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively across various business functions.
  • Strong project management skills and work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The target salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $141,225.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
