Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Entertainment Partner to join their thriving Entertainment & Sports Law practice in New York. As one of the largest groups of entertainment lawyers in the United States, they provide comprehensive transactional and litigation representation to artists, creators, athletes, executives, and businesses in the entertainment, sports, and media industries.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for a diverse range of entertainment and sports clients, including artists, athletes, companies, governing bodies, and executives.
- Handle a wide variety of transactional matters, including licensing agreements, sponsorship deals, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property matters.
- Litigate high-profile disputes in the entertainment, sports, and media industries, resolving complex issues through strategic litigation and negotiation.
- Provide legal counsel and advice on regulatory, business, and intellectual property matters across various sectors including sports, entertainment, and media.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, fostering new business opportunities and expanding the firm's footprint within the entertainment and sports industries.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State Bar.
- Extensive experience in entertainment and sports law, with a strong track record in both litigation and transactional matters.
- Proven experience representing high-profile clients in the entertainment and/or sports industries.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex, multi-party transactions and disputes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering results under tight deadlines.
