ABOUT MTC
Founded in 1994, Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC) is a public-private partnership created by the Missouri General Assembly, to catalyze innovation and entrepreneurship within the State of Missouri by fostering the growth of Missouri-based high-tech companies. Through direct appropriations from the state budget and access to federally funded programs, MTC receives funding to fulfill its mission of making strategic investments that help create and grow technology-based businesses in Missouri. MTC leads the entrepreneurial community statewide through several key initiatives.
MTC is a driving force behind Missouri's entrepreneurial success, empowering innovation and growth through various strategic initiatives, including robust grant programs and strategic partnerships across the state. With over $60 million in state-funded grants awarded and partnerships with more than 65 entrepreneurial organizations statewide, MTC is instrumental in shaping the future of Missouri's thriving entrepreneurial community.
Designed to expand entrepreneurial capacity statewide, our grant programs are essential in advancing Missouri's entrepreneurial community. The Missouri Building Entrepreneurial Capacity (MOBEC) Grant Program provides vital funding to strengthen the support systems that drive Missouri's innovation economy, helping technology-driven entrepreneurs bring new technologies to market. Through the Physical Infrastructure and Regional Node Grant Programs, we invest in infrastructure and regional activities that drive local entrepreneurship. In 2024, we introduced the Investor Education Grant Program, a pilot initiative aimed at cultivating early-stage investment through investor education.
