- Greet customers warmly, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Listen to customers' concerns and provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance or repairs.
Service Recommendations:
- Inspect vehicles and evaluate customer concerns to identify necessary repairs or services.
- Provide clear and accurate explanations of recommended work, including costs and timelines.
Service Scheduling:
- Coordinate appointments to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles and manage service timelines.
Upselling and Cross-Selling:
- Identify and recommend additional maintenance or repair services to enhance vehicle performance, safety, and longevity.
Customer Service:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Build positive relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with technicians, service managers, and fellow advisors to maintain smooth workflows and effective communication.
Operational Support:
- Accurately record customer details, service needs, and repair descriptions in shop management systems.
- Collaborate with parts suppliers to ensure timely availability of components.
- Assist with payment processing and explain invoices to customers.
Skills and Abilities
- Interpersonal Skills: Build rapport with diverse customers and provide exceptional service.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using Point of Sale systems, Google Docs, and Excel. Familiarity with TekMetric and AutoFlow is a plus but not required.
- Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and follow established processes.
- Team Player: Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Clean Work Habits: Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Previous customer service or automotive experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable using computers and answering phones in a professional setting.
