Title: Desktop Support Technician- Entry Level Location: Orlando, FL- Onsite (First 90 days) Duration: Direct Hire Compensation: $40K-$50K Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 support for desktop systems, including both Windows and Mac platforms.
- Work with supply chain to ensure image accuracy for windows OS deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Assist with setting up new user workstations, including computer accounts and configurations.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as system updates and upgrades
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex issues and escalate problems when necessary.
- Document technical issues and resolutions for future needs
- Provide basic support for printers, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
- Ensure that security and compliance protocols are followed during all operations.
- Offer excellent customer service and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff.
Skillset / Experience:
- 1 year of experience in desktop support, help desk, or a similar IT role.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Familiarity with common software applications, including Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
Nice to Have:
- 1-3 years experience with Active Directory, Office 365, or other enterprise systems
- Knowledge of basic scripting or automation tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+
