Entry-Level DrafterCompensation: $24-$30 per hour, DOE (Non-Exempt)About Us:Columbia Energy & Environmental Services, Inc. (Columbia Energy) is a full-service engineering and fabrication company with over 30 years of experience supporting the nuclear, defense, energy, and hazardous waste industries. Originally founded to assist with nuclear cleanup operations at Hanford, we have since grown into an established small business offering a wide range of services, including engineering, design, fabrication, instrumentation and controls, electrical, database and software engineering, technology development, and geophysics/subsurface imaging. We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Drafter to join our team. The Drafter will report to the Drafting Department Manager and support projects through the production of figures, sketches, 3D models, and drawings. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to assist in creating project drawings.
  • Incorporate engineering comments and fabrication redlines into drawings.
  • Assist in the creation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Drawing Change Notices (DCN) for Hanford drawings.
  • Apply knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including welding, machining tolerances, water jet and plasma cutting, and instrument wiring.
  • Solve problems and learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2-Year Degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a US citizen
Software Proficiency:
  • Autodesk Inventor (required)
  • Autodesk AutoCAD (required)
  • Creo
  • Autodesk Revit
  • SolidWorks
  • Microsoft Office
