In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, including hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will be the go-to person for physical IT support tasks that require on-site presence, complementing our remote IT support team.Key Responsibilities:Hardware Setup & Installation:Assist in the setup, configuration, and installation of desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other hardware devices.Deploy and connect networking equipment such as routers, switches, and cabling.Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of hardware issues, including faulty components, network connectivity problems, and peripheral malfunctions.Conduct basic diagnostics and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as necessary.Maintenance & Inventory:Regularly check and maintain IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.Manage inventory of IT assets, including tracking and documentation of hardware and accessories.User Support:Provide on-site support to end-users, assisting with hardware-related issues, software installations, and peripheral setups.Respond to IT service incidents and follow up to ensure issues are resolved promptly and effectively.Documentation & Reporting:Report recurring issues to senior IT staff and suggest potential improvements to reduce future incidents.Education & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree or technical certification in IT or related field is a plus.RequirementsSkills:Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows, Mac operating systems, networking, and peripheral devices.Good communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.Ability to lift and carry equipment, such as desktops and servers.Experience:Less or basic prior experience required, though any hands-on experience with IT support (internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work) is beneficial.This role requires physical activity, including lifting and moving IT equipment.You may be required to work outside regular business hours to support special projects or urgent tasks.Opportunities for Growth:This position provides an excellent foundation for career growth in IT, with opportunities to advance to more specialized roles such as Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or IT Support Analyst.#J-18808-Ljbffr
