Werres , the leading supplier of materials handling distribution products on the East Coast, is seeking a motivated Entry-Level IT Help Desk Technician to join their team in Frederick, MD . If you have your associate's degree or technical school certificate in IT, or have a relevant certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft , etc.) , Werres wants to hear from you! In this role, you will be r esponsible for providing a first-level response to all computer hardware and software-related inquiries via multiple methods. Acknowledge and respond to tickets and escalate to appropriate teams and tiers as required . Provide additional support with Patching and Anti-virus updates and assist in the management of computer assets. Some of the benefits to you:

Minimum qualifications:
  • Be detailed oriented, and self-motivated
  • Be highly ethical and have a high degree of personal integrity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in a logical manner.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills: the ability to interact with customers, vendors and all levels of employees throughout the company in a positive, appropriate manner.
  • Have obtained an Associate's degree or one or more of the following industry certificates:
    • CompTIA A+
    • Microsoft Certification
    • Technical School Certificate
    • Relevant Work Experience
Essential duties/responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming tickets, completing and tracking issues in a timely fashion.
  • Document new information in detail to the internal knowledge base.
  • Triage, diagnose, and resolve computer hardware and software issues
  • Identify common issues and escalate them to management
  • Manage Antivirus and respond to alerts. Check on risk issues
  • Provide support to remote employees
  • Install hardware/software, and windows patches along with Anti-Virus updates.
  • Create and manage employee active directory, email and phone system accounts
  • Handle onboarding/offboarding tasks, which include the following:
    • Imaging a computer
    • Create User accounts and provisioning access
