Job Description:

AstroNova is hiring for 2nd & 3rd Shift Entry Level Machine Operators. The base schedules are 3PM-11PM or 11PM-7AM Monday through Friday. Position Summary/Objective

The RotoFlexo Press Operator / Machine Operator is to set up, operate, and maintain press and accessories for printing, punching, perforating, rewinding, and other processes in the conversation of thermal paper or label and tag stock from raw materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Set up, operate and maintain label converting presses

* Maintain and operate accessories for printing, perforating, rewinding and other processes in the conversion of labels from raw materials

* Assist with slitting, rewinding and packaging finished goods as needed

* Check quality, monitor equipment, and maintain a clean work area; perform preventative maintenance (5S)

* Ensure all product is manufactured in accordance with the correct specifications and production schedules

Required Competencies

* Ability to follow direction - Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Monitors and checks work or information and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently.

* Reading for information - Understanding written sentences and ability to extract relevant information from work related documents.

* Coordination & Time management - As part of a team, you'll be interacting with other Machine Operators, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Plant leaders and more to accomplish day-to-day work objectives.

Preferred Competencies

* Rotary die-cutting

* Machine set-up

* Quality control analysis - Ensure all product is manufactured in accordance with the correct specifications

Physical Requirements

* The ability to stand for long periods of time with the ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds is required.

* The ability to stoop, reach and bend is required.

Special Working Conditions / Travel Requirements

This job operates in a warehouse environment with little dust or grease. Little to no travel is expected for this position.
