JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Technician I / Housekeeper maintains the community's appearance by tending to the grounds, amenities, and common areas. This role is dedicated to meeting the community's overall curb appeal and aesthetic standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInspect community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at allRemove trash and any items remaining in vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process.Clean and maintain refuge and storageComplete assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager and assist as needed in the make-readyDistribute notices and communication to residents asInform appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team member, guests andDemonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and other with respect, answering questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenanceComply with safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the property's routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety- related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incident promptly and accurately.Must assist and/or work during onsite events asRoutinely clean all parking structures at the community.Ensure paper products are stocked in all necessary areas including but not limited to restrooms and kitchens/clubrooms.Garden Style Community.Pressure wash necessary areas throughout the community.Routinely clean breezeways.Clean amenity spaces.Projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.Enclosed Buildings/Mid-Rise/High-Rise Communities.Vacuum common hallways.Mop necessary areas.Wash windows within heights permittable to company policies.Clean amenity spaces.Sweep/wipe down elevators.Projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.JOB REQUIREMENTSNo experience necessary.Housekeeping, groundskeeping, maintenance, and/or customer service experience a plus.Must be willing to participate in an on-the-job maintenance training bootcamp (details below)Must assist and/or work during onsite events asResultsExcellent communicationFollows established policies andMust read, understand, and comply with product labels, safety, and policy and procedure manuals.Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuringMust assist and/or work during onsite events asPossess exemplary customer service skills and help retain existing residents through great service.Must have or be willing to obtain all certifications as required by State or LocalMust have a valid driver'sHigh school diploma or GED.ON-THE-JOB MAINTENANCE TRAININGMaintenance Technician I will go through a training bootcamp within the first twelve (12) months of employment (travel may be required).Maintenance Technician I will complete training with their Regional Maintenance Supervisor.Training will include various appliance repairs, HVAC training, and training as needed.THE BENEFITSContinuous training.Paid holidays, paid time off, & sick time.Nearly 100% employer paid medical, dental and vision benefits.Housing discount.401K with competitive employer match.Hourly: $17.00Various benefits are available: Continuous training, paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, housing discount and medical benefits.
