We are seeking entry-level Metal Forming / Fabrication workers to join our team. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, consistently.
- Ability to commit to on-site and on-time attendance;
- Ability to commit to Monday through Friday;
- Ability to work Saturday (half day) if required.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Basic writing and reading skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Experience with metal forming and fabrication equipment; or
- Understanding of power tools / some mechanical ability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
You will learn: - Operation of metal forming and fabrication equipment
- Fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal parts.
- Metal material shaping (over anvils, blocks, or other forms) using hand tools.
- Metal cutting (and forming) using lathes, power saws, snips, power brakes and shears, files, and mallets.
- Riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws to connect metal pieces or secure seams
- Grinding, filing, and sanding parts to finished dimensions.
- Blueprint reading and / or schematics interpretation
- How to perform quality checks on finished products
- Part lay out, measuring, and marking dimensions and reference lines using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, or rulers.
- Trimming, filing, grinding, de-burring, buffing, or smoothing surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.
