This role offers hands-on experience in payroll, inventory updates, and administrative tasks, with opportunities for advancement within 1-3 years. Payroll Clerk Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing
- Handle electronic timesheets, direct deposits, and payroll reports.
- Update workers' comp schedules.
- Inventory Updates
- Track materials, vehicles, and equipment charges.
- Prepare files for payroll cycles.
- Taxes & Year-End Reports
- Process payroll taxes, prepare tax returns, and handle W-2s.
- Other Tasks
- Assist with AP invoice coding, data entry, and occasional admin/HR duties.
Payroll Clerk Qualifications
- Required: Detail-oriented, some payroll experience OR an associate's degree in accounting, basic communication skills.
- Preferred: Independent workers who value confidentiality. A second-chance opportunity mindset is welcome.
