Job Title: Entry-Level Quality EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure standard operating procedures are sustained in the manufacturing processes, and assembly operations conform to general and mandatory specifications. This role involves managing the implementation of new processes and procedures related to the introduction of new products or equipment, and coordinating with other departments to develop and implement standard operating procedures for all assembly and quality processes.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement improved standard procedures through the lean process and tools, documenting them so they become organizational standards.
- Ensure equipment meets required product quality standards and can consistently reproduce these results.
- Validate accurate work-in-process and finished goods defect tracking.
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Recommend corrective actions to plant management.
- Perform statistical analysis of collected data, tracking defects back to process, cell, material, or individual.
- Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
- Recommend process improvements to plant management.
- Participate in quality reporting and management review processes.
- Provide engineering support to operations to ensure consistent application of quality techniques.
- Participate in customer meetings and visits, and address customer complaints using 8D or other approved formats.

Additional Skills & Qualifications- AS or BS Degree in Engineering or Sciences
- 3+ years' experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment, such as Six Sigma, to drive operational excellence systems
- Six Sigma Green Belt Training or Certification (preferred)
- Experience in process design/improvement and new production implementation
- CAD or SolidWorks experience (a plus)
Work EnvironmentThis position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm with a casual dress code. The team consists of 40 employees, including 4 engineers. Benefits include an annual discretionary bonus based on performance, an annual 1-week shutdown during the week between Christmas and New Year's, and all paid bank holidays plus Good Friday and Black Friday.
