We are seeking a Security Technician / Helper to join our federal team based in Norfolk, VA. We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure. As a Security Technician, you will: Assist in conducting maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) including access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Assist in installing security devices and infrastructure in accordance with installation plans. Assist with security system programming and setup. Conduct testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs. Test the system to the signal-receiving center to establish service. Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for emergency notifications. Help prepare estimates following supervisor instructions. Conduct end-user training. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries and damage to property. Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial/industrial integrated/electronic security systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational product manuals. Effective oral and written communication skills. Capable of using hand and power tools. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Active Department of Defense Secret clearance (or one that was active within the last 2 years). Active Top Secret clearance preferred. Pass background check to obtain a government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Softwarehouse C-cure 9000, Genetec/Lenel. Experience with commercial/industrial camera systems, preferably Bosch, MDI, and/or American Dynamics. Preferred Education: Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000 certified. Lenel/Genetec certified.
