To learn more about our culture and to join our team, visit us at Kaplan Early Learning Company is looking for a motivated and results-driven Entry Level Software Engineer in Lewisville, NC, and to complete projects focusing on Early Childhood Games and Support Systems. The focus will be on developing and deploying software products running on Android and Windows platforms but will also participate in emerging technology projects on the operational side of the business. This versatile Entry Level Software Engineer will participate in developing leading-edge software solutions from collaborating on conceptualization and design, to completing development, testing, validation and release. The candidate should possess broad exposure to various technologies and software platforms, and an appetite for learning new things. Additionally, the candidate will work on improving existing systems to be more performant, scalable and stable. Key Responsibilities Develop Software solutions to the users stories/requirements Apply new technologies to help move the company's product offering forward Manage the installation and configuration of software solutions Keep abreast of new technologies, as well as confirm to best practice Participate in program team meetings and communicate software development status Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similarly related degree GPA of 3.0 or higher in major studies Experience working in an Agile Methodology Framework Familiarity / Proficient with IDEs, development tools, various languages Knowledge of or work with Depth Sensing Camera, Computer Vision, and/or Graphics Rendering Experience with Unity a Plus Up to 3 years experience in general software engineering, coding/testing and deployment into a production environment.
