Our headquarters are in the heart of Manhattan on 5th Avenue just a block from Bryant Park. As we continue to grow as a company, we are actively searching for customer-focused individuals to bring on to our team and grow our sales force in the golf industry.
As a Sales Associates representing, Fairway & Greene, Zero Restriction, B. Draddy, EP NY this person will be responsible for learning how to manage a territory's book of business, develop customer relationships, and contribute to all aspects of the sales process.
Reports to: Brendan McHugh, SVP of Sales, co-Head of the Americas.
Territory: Defined as the regions / brands that comprise the coverage of your Direct Reports.
Based in: Florida, preferably the West Palm Beach, FL area.
Role Requirements:
- Assist in green grass sales administration.
- All sales administration work related to Green Grass Golf: Product approvals, product logo mockups, order entry and tracking, any customer requests or needs and any other tasks as outlined by SVP of Sales or Account Executive.
- Support sales on efforts related to growing book of business.
- Including and not limited to replenishment programs, order fill ins, and field visits.
- Support sales efforts related to accounts managed by direct reports.
- Including but not limited to preparing and organizing decks, client appointment preparation, promotional projects, order entry, and creation of marketing materials.
- Lead Projects related to territory sales efforts.
- Creating collateral, catalog creation, etc.
- Execute daily tasks to support large scale golf and corporate clients in designated territory.
- Participate in client meetings to assist with client follow up and execution of their needs.
- Start and finish marketing projects that create brand awareness and drive sales for the division.
- Work closely with SVP of Sales and Account Executive taking direction and instructions on tasks.
- Learn and understand SGB customer's buying process.
- Work events from start to finish. This includes building proposals, entering orders, creating order forms and executing gifting handouts on site.
- Attending trunk shows for customers to increase revenue, service the client and build relationships.
- Oversite and management of Florida Bungalow Showroom, SGB Rep Portal, and other programs based on candidate.
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility. Can manage T&E, promo budgets, etc.
- Requires travel to meetings to support in market line reviews.
- Displays a desire to learn and improve each day.
- Self-motivated and willing to raise their hand when help is needed.
- Learn distinguishing characteristics of all products within each brand.
- Learn and develop sales techniques with purpose of cultivating a well-rounded sales career within SGB.
- Miscellaneous sales related projects as needed by sales management team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- College graduate or 1-3 years professional experience with or looking to gain sales & marketing experience. Experience working in golf, golf retail, or other golf industry roles a plus.
- Affinity for the Summit Golf Brands suite of brands.
- Passionate about forging connections with customers.
- Persistent in the face of new challenges.
- Willing to be challenged and coached.
- Ability to travel ~50% of the time.
- Interest and passion for golf industry.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point, and RepSpark.
- Experience with online Google products (Forms and Docs).
- Experience with graphics programs – Canva, Photoshop, Flipbook, etc.
- Ability to represent SGB in a professional manner.
- Interested in growth opportunities as a Sales professional at SGB in a fun and exciting industry.
Compensation:
- Salary with bonus incentives based on sales performance.
