Collaborating with our experienced professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.Arcadis provides multiple development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national, and global teams.Role accountabilities:What will you do?Work on water/ wastewater design engineering and construction projects; including production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects including; plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution / collection systems.Organize and conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work which has a well-defined scope.Work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships within Arcadis to serve our clients most effectively, where overlap of client projects exists.Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office / project staff, client and sub-contractors, throughout the project life cycleManage time and ensure timely delivery of engineering and construction drawings and specifications for projectsFacilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projectsTake direction from Task Manager or Project Engineer on projects to manage related budgets and schedules, and assists with the development and management of plans, permit checklists, and scopes of workEnsure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.Qualifications & Experience:What skills & attributes do you need?Strong structural analysis and design skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong structural analysis and design skills.Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a teamAbility to work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.Flexible attitude towards assignments, with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.Strong educational backgroundDependability and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks.Familiarity/experience utilizing MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and other structural softwareRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringEIT or ability to obtain within 1 year of hirePreferred QualificationsPrior internship or experience in engineering consultingMaster's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field of studyAdvanced knowledge/experience with Mathcad, AutoCAD, RevitExperience with water/wastewater facility and/or heavy industrial structural analysis and design.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
