Today, approximately 90% of our business is inthe commercial truck tire and related markets. Pete's serviceseverything from a wheelbarrow tire up to an earthmovertire. No experience needed! We arecommitted to training the right candidate for an entry-level tire technicianposition. We are looking for a candidate who isself-motivated and interested in beginning a career in the tire industry. Inthis role, you are able to gain experience with various tires and equipment.Sign On Bonus: $500 at successful completion of 3 months, $1000 at a year!
Qualifications:- Driver's License preferred
- HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Requirements:- Responsible for changingprimarily passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
- Perform tire repairs,replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
- Remove or replace mountedtire assembly from vehicles
- Ability to recognizerepairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are notrepairable
- Communicate all workperformed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
- Perform all tasks in asafe and efficient manner
- Use all provided safetyequipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glassesand communicate equipment needs
- Report all tools orequipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions,problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
- Perform daily maintenanceof tools and equipment
- Review service workorders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs,mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
- Ensure that all productsleave with proper paperwork
- As needed, performmiscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
- Willing to make customersatisfaction a number one priority, must be flexible and understand that jobpriorities will constantly change due to customer needs
- Equipment: Capable ofoperating lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, airguns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and officeequipment
