ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Boston, MA office is looking for an Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Planning & Operations group. The selected candidate will work with a team of transportation planners and engineers on a variety of public, private and institutional projects within broad cross-section of markets, including municipal, state agencies, higher education, federal land and aviation.

Responsibilities

    Working within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects
  • Traffic impact studies
  • Safety studies
  • Transportation planning analyses
  • Research and interpret transportation data, community statistics and demographics
  • Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
  • Traffic data collection and tabulation
  • Intersection and roadway level of service analyses
  • Development, analysis and evaluation of traffic improvements
  • Roadway and intersection conceptual design

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 0-1 years of professional transportation engineering experience
  • EIT preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus
  • Experience with Synchro, Vissim, and/or HCS a plus
  • Experience with ArcGIS a plus

Applicants must be legally authorized to work for VHB in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Hiring Salary Range - $75,000 - 81,000. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
