Position Overview This position is located in Jasper, IN and reports to the Director of Safety, Environment, & Facilities (SEF).
The Environmental, Health, & Safety Intern is responsible for: - Providing technical assistance to Safety, Environmental, & Facilities (SEF) Team.
- Assisting with monthly environmental, health, & safety reporting.
- Reviewing and updating Job Hazard Analyses and Job Safety Procedures.
- Assisting with data collection and project tracking.
- Participate in monthly meetings with global SEF team.
- Participate in SEF Assessments of locations.
- Participate in Sustainability projects such as Environmental, Social, & Governance and Carbon Disclosure.
- Additional duties as required.
Key Performance Objectives: Short Term Goals: - Learn Kimball Electronics Shared Services (KESS) EHS systems and controls by reviewing existing applicable processes.
- Assist the KESS SEF Team in monthly EHS data tracking and reporting.
- Learn the fundamentals of ISO 14001 and 45001 - Environmental and Safety Management Systems.
- Work with KESS & Kimball Electronics Jasper (KEJ) teams as required. This position will be working for KESS from our World Headquarters but may also have some assignments at our Jasper manufacturing location as well.
- Provide term report out of accomplishments.

Technical Skills - Currently pursuing an Environmental, Health, & Safety or similar degree with at least one year completed.
- Basic knowledge of environmental and safety standards/regulations.
- Works proficiently with Microsoft Office applications - especially within Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
