Job Description:

DSJ Global is partnered with a top consumer goods manufacturing company to hire an EHS Manager.

The role provides guidance and support to site leaders, business unit operations, and corporate EHS&S regarding EHS&S issues.

The EHS Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall EHS function at the site. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and executing EHS components. This role offers diverse experiences, providing opportunities to grow and develop both technical and leadership skills, while making a meaningful impact and helping to create a zero-incident culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe working practices and reinforce EHS policies, procedures.
  • Serve as the onsite subject matter expert for EHS providing technical guidance on site-related EHS issues.
  • Act as a key resource on employee health and safety, representing EHS&S as part of the site Leadership Team.
  • Handle and manage all workers' compensation claims.
  • Lead and coordinate efforts to implement risk mitigation, injury prevention, and EHS&S compliance initiatives; develop and execute plans to enhance site EHS&S performance.
  • Oversee the EHS&S training program, including new hires, job-specific, contractor, and refresher training.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the site's EHS&S Management Systems.
  • Manage the site's process safety management program, where applicable.
  • Oversee incident and injury management processes, coordinating corrective and preventive actions with key departments to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Supervise incident reporting, investigations, and recordkeeping.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Workers' Compensation Expertise and background.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of local, state and Federal regulatory requirements in California.
  • Bilingual communication
