Amotec is currently supporting a search for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Located in Tate County, MS, our client is a leading manufacturer in the construction materials industry. EHS Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures in alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA).
- Lead the site's EHS strategy, setting goals and objectives that integrate corporate and site-specific safety initiatives.
- Conduct training for all employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and environmental compliance.
- Manage internal and external EHS audits, ensuring there are no significant business interruptions due to safety or compliance issues.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Foster a culture of safety throughout the site by developing and leading EHS capability-building efforts.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
EHS Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental standards preferred.
- Certifications such as CSP or CIH are a plus.
