Ainsley Search Group is hiring a Plant EHS Leader to join a fast-growing Manufacturer based in Mifflin County. This leader will lead a safety committee to support multiple safety programs and initiatives, develop KPI to track incident, safety compliance, policy development, safety training, audit, safety meetings, etc., promote a safe and incident free workforce across the organization. Responsibilities:
- Report to Corporate EHS Director and lead the safety programs and initiatives across manufacturing plants.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety policies, processes, and procedures, develop measurable safety performance objectives, metrics and KPI to drive improvement on safety across all organizations.
- Ensure organization follows OSHA rules and regulations, regularly update OSHA rules, changes, updates, new policies to ensure compliance is up to date.
- Oversee all aspects of workers compensation activities including insurance claim, incident report, investigation, lead initial injury intervention, injury reporting, medical management, injury investigation.
- Ensure proper documents of all incidents and injuries, work with compensation carriers to manage work-related injury claim and control cost as needed.
- Charis all safety meetings with cross functional teams to ensure the compliance of safety policy, process, and procedures, provide hands-on training and support on new policies and procedures, discuss safety concerns, preventive measures, and recommendation of improvement.
- Lead safety committee and safety audits, track safety performance KPI and generate metric reports, identify area of risks and improvement opportunities to drive continuous improvement on safety, raise safety awareness across organization and further promote a safe and injury free workforce.
- Maintain personal protection equipment and promote the use of PPE throughout facilities.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and safety issues, work with department managers on safety training, corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead the inspection of equipment for purpose of safety to validate it's proper functionality, ensure the compliance of proper operation procedures of all plant equipment.
- Lead all testing for safety hazard such as pollution, noise evaluation, biological monitoring, etc.
- Ensure the security procedures and policies for local plants and ensure compliance with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety, or equivalent work experience.
- Recent years of hands-on safety management within manufacturing industry, exposure to food or chemical industries is a plus.
- Solid knowledge with OSHA, STOP, occupational and safety standards, procedures, principles and practices, PPE, ETC.
- Strong attention to details and problem-solving skills
- Excellent people and communication skills, ability to establish rapport and hold people accountable.
- Ability to influence others and solid project management skills.
