Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Location: Orange County, CA (100% on-site - hours of operation include early start at 530am-6:00am)

Role Overview:
In the role of Environmental Health & Safety Manager is integral to the safety and efficiency of manufacturing operations. Our client's Environmental Health & Safety Manager establishes, maintains, and reviews all corporate environmental, health, and safety standard operating practices. This role evaluates and makes recommendations on current and proposed processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. By cultivating relationships and visibility and fostering a culture of safety, they will lead training sessions that not only educate but empower employees to maintain the highest level of safety standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Oversight and Program Management: Manage and continuously improve essential safety programs, including the Hazardous Waste Program. Ensure that all safety meetings are conducted effectively and that monthly facility inspections comply with OSHA and environmental standards.
- Compliance and Safety Training: Maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Material Inventory. Organize and conduct required training programs on an ongoing basis to ensure all procedures align with current safety regulations.
- Operational Safety Analysis and Reporting: Perform detailed Job Safety Analyses on employee tasks and oversee the application process for equipment permits. Ensure compliance and regularly present information for reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Leadership and Development: Directly train staff, perform personnel performance evaluations, and develop a culture of safety and compliance within the team. Attend training as required by compliance agencies and foster continuous professional development.
- Administrative and Policy Enforcement: Develop and administer the department budget. Fully enforce company rules, policies, and safety guidelines to ensure operations are safe and effective. Manage and coordinate corrective actions for procedural and equipment deficiencies.
- Additional Responsibilities: Prepare reports and correspondence related to safety operations and maintain regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies. Handle additional duties as necessary to maintain high safety standards across the company.
Essentials:
- 5–10 years' experience in environmental health and safety within the industrial sector.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
- Proficient use of software programs for data management and reporting.
Desirables:
- Experience with foundries, forges, and emissions and in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing setting.
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish (a plus) not required.

Compensation Package:
Estimated annual base compensation: $150,000 - $ 170,000
