Compensation: $120k- $140k

Schedule: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Environmental Management System: Establish and maintain the facility's safety, environmental protection, and occupational health management system. Develop policies, procedures, and rules to comply with company standards.
  • Safety and Environmental Planning: Create and implement safety and environmental protection work plans based on the company's business goals. Set safety management goals and execute necessary improvements.
  • Daily Management & Supervision: Oversee daily safety and environmental activities, including regular inspections and safety training for employees.
  • Safety Inspections: Lead major safety inspections and conduct weekly site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Cost Budgeting: Develop and manage the budget for safety and environmental protection, ensuring expenditures align with the plan.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on local, state, and federal safety and environmental protection regulations, regularly updating facility policies to ensure compliance.
  • Sustainable Development: Promote sustainable initiatives in line with the company's global goals, working closely with relevant departments to achieve safety and environmental objectives.
  • Government Relations: Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Facilitate communication and necessary documentation with local authorities.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Carry out tasks as assigned by senior leadership.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in safety and environmental protection.
  • Experience in industries such as lithium batteries, automotive parts, or chemical production is preferred.
  • Familiarity with new facility construction is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental protection laws, regulations, and management procedures.
  • Certifications like Registered Security Engineer or Security Administrator are preferred.
  • Experience working in multinational companies and navigating cross-cultural work environments is highly desirable.
