PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Environmental Advisor, Logistics HSE to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our location in Paulsboro, NJ or Philadelphia, PA.

The role of Environmental Advisor, Logistics is to develop and implement programs designed to assist PBF facilities to meet these objectives, specifically to environmental compliance for regional Logistics assets. Additionally, this role will provide technical support for the PBF Logistics Organization HSE Group as needed.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for all Environmental compliance activities, including compliance reports, development/improvement of management systems, conducting field inspections/audits, implementation of programs, interpretation of regulations, and interfacing with regulatory agencies. This includes site-specific environmental permits, plans or other authorizations, registrations, or notifications such as but not limited to Title V, Synthetic Minor, NSR, NPDES, UST, Waste Registrations, etc.

* Develop, implement and maintain departmental procedures in compliance with the regulatory bodies and the company.

* Direct work activities of environmental professionals, which may include consultants.

* Interface with all appropriate regulatory bodies and serve as a facility spokesperson with environmental regulatory agencies and community groups as needed.

* Coordinate responses to agency inspections, information requests, NOV's, etc. and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

* Work with the environmental staff regarding the appropriate response to agency inspections, information requests, NOV's, Consent Decrees, etc. and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

* Mentor, train and develop professionals that are responsible for conducting environmental duties to ensure a capable and professional workforce.

* Provide direction and training to other departments relative to their environmental responsibilities.

* Administer company policy within the department. Ensure site administrative procedures, discipline, environmental policies, management practices are administered consistently and appropriately.

* Ensure that all periodic and event related reports are made internally and to the appropriate agencies per regulatory time requirements.

* Interpret local, state and federal environmental regulations; determine applicability of these regulations and develop appropriate compliance procedures and processes.

* Develop and implement management systems to ensure objectives are met and environmental compliance is maintained.

* Coordinate various internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.

* Create and maintain facility and department environmental policies and procedures as needed.

* Support development of annual budget and control/manage environmental expenses.

* Provide environmental support in emergency response events.

* Assist in incident investigations as needed.

* Review new projects to ensure proper environmental permits are obtained.

* Serve as a resource/consultant to staff and field management regarding the development of new capital projects to ensure that health, safety and environmental standards are met.

* Primary work location Paulsboro or Philadelphia area PBF site.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.

* 10+ years in Refining and/or Petrochemicals

* Familiarity with industry environment regulations, work practices, and compliance strategies.

* Routine travel between regional sites of 10-25% as needed.
