Job Description:

One of our large Energy Services clients is seeking to bring on an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join their growing team in Alexandria, VA. This individual will be spending 50% of their time in the field conducting site visits for locations in the greater Alexandria area and the remainder 50% of their time in the office documenting, evaluating, and reporting on their site visits. This individual overall will support transformer inspections with are associated with Electric Distribution operational teams. Other responsibilities include::

  • Inspect and assess transformers at Data Centers and coordinate with supervision on timelines for repairs for sites to better manage the environmental cleanup
  • Complete internal spill reports and associated documentation needed from site visits
  • Coordinate with internal teams and present data on environmental response to contractors
  • Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
  • Help build out and manage an environmental database for entering, tracking and creating needed reporting
  • Pulling together pertinent information for job requests, coordinate with District Office leadership for schedules on repairs to transformers in the field and help coordinate environmental cleanups from 3rd party contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience with environmental compliance within the field or construction industry
  • Prior data analytics and reporting experience (Excel based)

Salary: $90,000-$115,000 (flexible based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Hiring Method: 1 year-long contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another year

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
