Job Description:
Environmental Coordinator Waste/Water - Salary Range 80,000 - 120,000 AnnuallyPURPOSE: As a DCOR Environmental Coordinator, you will be responsible for environmental compliance efforts to meet the federal, state, and local regulation of all assets DCOR owns/operates. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Waste Program - as needed sample, track, profile creation, and manifest creation
  • Manage the environmental waste and water affairs
  • Serve as the company representative to all Federal, State, and Local Agencies concerning waste and water issues
  • Create relationships with agencies through workshops, formal presentations, letters and permits
  • Analyze facilities, operations and procedures to identify potential for environmental exposure
  • Ensure all facilities comply with Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Contribute to policy development, implementation, guidance, review and audit Company environmental waste and water programs.
  • Responsible for NPDES permits, sanitation district permits, RWQCB permits, DMR's, wastewater systems, hazardous materials and waste, manifesting, generator activities, reporting, waste reduction.
  • Guarantee that work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
  • Provide technical support to project managers.
  • Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Participate in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
  • Schedule and coordinate waste disposal include manifesting and profiles.
  • Prepare and submit waste disposal compliance reports to all local, state and federal agencies.
  • Perform emergency response activities such as spill reporting and agency notifications. Participate on DCOR's Oil Spill Response Team.
  • Provide back-up for Spill Response, Air compliance, Waste and Water compliance on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in the Company's on-call emergency program and oil spill Incident Management Team.
  • Perform other related tasks as periodically requested by the Direct Supervisor.
  • Assist with the performance of or response to internal or external environmental inspections and audits.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Must be qualified under applicable regulations and required fit testing
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment which may include self-contained breathing apparatus
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and crawling
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and ramps
  • Operate power, pneumatic hand tools
  • Ability to work varying hours
  • Obtain and maintain Swing Rope Certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10 years of relevant working knowledge of Environmental Compliance
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
