(BLE), you will be responsible for providing technical environmental consulting services on due diligence transaction projects for local, regional, and national clients. This is an excellent career opportunity to join an employee-owned company with strong business relationships within the financial, real estate development and industrial sectors of North Carolina. The general duties of the Environmental Due Diligence Consultant include but, not limited to, the following efforts. Minimum Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of individual and/or consulting experience, with emphasis on environmental due diligence projects.
  • Solid knowledge of E1527, understanding of core business and legal concepts of business transactions, and continued interest in working transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Local travel 2-3 days per week, with overnight travel approximately once per month.
Position Responsibilities
  • Perform environmental (and limited health and safety) due diligence projects for corporate, industrial, and commercial transactions, including compliance with ASTM E1527.
  • Provide consulting advice to corporate, financial, and legal clients.
  • Design and implement Phase I and II ESA and Brownfields site assessments, including performance of field work and sampling activities and associated reporting.
  • Perform multiple projects concurrently within strict timeframes, scope/budget expectations, and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support BLE Principals and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.
  • Communicate with clients, BLE employees, and vendors.
