The Environmental Engineer is responsible for leading the safety, sustainability, and environmental compliance for the division and maintaining compliance with all environmental programs (air, water, waste, radiation) including permitting and reporting. This individual will be responsible for interacting with the Nucor team to assist development and improvement of both the Nucor Steel Texas Environmental department and the division. This role is responsible for maintaining permitting and compliance with the sites Title V air permit, overseeing contractors, conducting environmental projects, tracking on-site waste generation, waste disposal, recycling, and energy use. This individual will play an integral role in the education and training of the Nucor team, actively engaging with the plant wide team for solutions to problems and promoting continuous improvement.
