Environmental Engineer – Permitting
Location: Baytown, TX
The Environmental Engineer – Permitting in Baytown, TX is responsible for ensuring environmental compliance at the facility, focusing on air quality permitting with potential involvement in wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, and waste management.
This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and best practices, while supporting permitting processes and compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permitting processes, including air quality and other related permits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for environmental permits.
- Conduct audits and provide guidance on regulatory changes and permit modifications.
- Provides environmental training to operations, maintenance, and other departments
- Develops methods and assembles data for environmental compliance reports and performance tracking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience with TCEQ and EPA air regulations.
- Knowledge of TCEQ air regulations and federal air standards (NSPS, NESHAP, NSR, MACT, Title V).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemical Engineering degree.
- 5+ years of experience in air quality regulations.
- Experience in the chemical or petroleum industry.
- Experience with Permit by Rule (PBR) applications.
- Familiarity with environmental data management systems.
