Miller Environmental Group is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor who will be responsible for project management, client and employee relations, estimating, proposal writing, coordinating with multiple locations for personnel and equipment, budgeting, as well as additional tasks as assigned to meet business needs. This is a fast paced, highly visible position and requires an individual with exceptional communication, organizational and computer skills. This position requires an individual that is team oriented, a multi-tasker, as well as, a strong individual contributor with a superior sense of urgency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Independently and successfully manage projects from planning to completion
- Conduct field inspections and prepare estimates, bids and proposal
- Responsible for the management of all sub-contractors, schedules and budget
- Handle client and employee relations including, but not limited to, hiring, corrective action, annual reviews, and coaching
- Work closely with senior managers and the sales team to identify potential opportunities/clients while maintaining current client relations
- Produce timely documentation for internal and external agencies and clients, including report writing, map generation, chain of custodies, work sheets and manifests
- Provide leadership and direction to technicians/ drivers/ mechanics to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards, inventory control
- Dispatch employees and job information within DOT regulations ensuring Fleet and Driver Log compliance
- Perform on-call supervisor duties which will include emergency response, overnight and weekend work
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory/project management experience in environmental construction/ industrial cleanings, with knowledge of emergency response/management, quality management and environmental regulations
- Demonstrated background in successfully managing project schedules and budgets
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (MS Project Manager?)
- Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
- Detailed oriented, creative, proactive and persistent
- Chemical handling and air monitoring equipment experience is a plus
- Travel is required
- Mercury Remediation is a plus
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required, B.S. preferred
- Transferable skills and experience/education in the environmental industry are required
