Position Summary:
The EHS Planner will aid EHS personnel in the development of effective EHS procedures and play an instrumental role in planning and executing a successful EHS management strategy. As a key part of our organization, the EHS planner must be organized and results-driven with the ability to work cross-functionally, acting as a bridge between EHS and other departments. This position reports to the EHS Director.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a cross-functional schedule for required meetings, training, manpower assignments, compliance activities, and other projects as assigned by manager
- Prepare presentation materials and lead/participate in EHS related meetings
- Collaborate with department personnel to develop scopes of work, request and receive quotes, and execute and manage contracts with outside contracting partners
- Responsible for EHS budget coordination and monitoring
- Organize multiple set of EHS data to highlight safety trends within the company as well as continuous improvement action items
- Identify staff development and training needs and ensures training is completed
- Review reports and inspection activities to determine compliance with company rules and policies
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Experience in project management, scheduling and training techniques and principles
- Ability to interpret and comply with all local, state and federal laws
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and handle a multitude of ongoing assignments
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in business related field
- Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and other safety-related standards
- Bilingual (English and Korean)
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 20 pound
