Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Under limited supervision, plans, directs and audits compliance programs. Assist IH Manager with indoor air quality assessments and occupational exposure investigations. Maintains asset management systems, tracks departmental expenses and chargebacks. Provides training and technical assistance to organizations throughout the University of South Carolina System (USCS) to promote safe work environments.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
Experience with asset management systems, google sheets, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to initiate, plan, organize, and administer OSHA compliance programs. Ability to effectively communicate with managers, associates, and university personnel. General knowledge of occupational, health and safety standards.

Job Duty
Assist Industrial Hygiene Manager with indoor assessments, air monitoring, and exposures such as, but not limited to, silica, asbestos, lead, etc. Assist with written reports. Assist with calibration of air monitoring equipment and record keeping. Assist with employee exposure tracking and follow ups.
Assist with Asset Management/Inspection software and tracking EHS expenses/chargebacks.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty
Assist with planning and developing for continual improvement for occupational safety and health programs throughout the University of South Carolina System. Conduct occupational safety and health inspections and issue written reports to managers, and departmental representatives. Assist departments with inspection corrective actions. Assist with accident/near miss investigations. Maintain all appropriate records.
