This leading, global life science tools company provides mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments. Currently, the company is at the forefront of the fight against COVID by providing the materials used for test kits for the COVID virus. As the company has seen incredible growth, the site is looking for the right Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to help drive the safety culture possible for the operations.This includes but is not limited to coordination of all EH&S procedures and policy training, organizing and conducting Spill Response, Safety Committee meetings.- Responds to all EH&S requests at the facility- Organizes all hazardous waste and interfaces with hazardous waste contractors for waste disposal- Performs all safety inspections throughout the facility- Documents all inspection finding and informs functional manager of pertinent findings- Responds to all EH&S emergencies at the facility- Acts as the Facility Operations liaison when necessaryThe company is looking for a military veteran who has exposure to implementing safety processes and procedures at a site or multi-site level. Ideally, the candidate will be experienced in industries such as chemical, oil & gas, petrochemicals, or other similar operational environments dealing with critical care of chemicals. Some of your areas of responsibility:- Coordination of EHS policy and procedures- Prepares and presents various safety training sessions- Works with management and staff to identify and eliminate hazardous work environments and practices- Monitors and assist with facilities tickets/personal requestsThis role is site-based but has exposure to the entire organization and will carry significant visibility across the global enterprise.Base salary plus 20% targeted bonus, medical/dental/vision, 401k.
