Promotes continuous environmental improvement and a positive image of the plant in the community. Uses independent judgment in performing job responsibilities. Reports to the Plant Manager. Works with general and specific policies and objectives. Refers to supervisor when clarification or interpretation of organizational policy is needed. What you'll be contributing:Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.Participates in projects involving environmental issues, Including contact with regulatory agencies and accompanies inspectors during inspections.Ensures compliance with all environmental permits and all applicable federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations pertaining toAir QualityWater QualityWaste ManagementAssists regulatory agencies by providing information and assistance as required.Performs inspections, and sampling as required by various permits.Coordinates company EMS and ISO 14001 certification at the facility. Conducts audits and training for facility personnel.Computer skills and use of various types of software for reporting and data acquisition systems.Maintain updated plant environmental records library and filing system.Completes, administers and/or assists in preparation of the following as required:Air emission reports.Air emissions inventory reporting.Titles V permit summary and annual reporting.Stack test reports.Discharge monitoring reports and/or other water pollution reports, where applicable.Sanitary waste monitoring reports.NPDES permit DMR.Industrial Wastewater discharge reportGreenhouse Gas reportingSolid waste management reports.Waste minimization reports.In cooperation with corporate environmental personnel, coordinates with source testing and environmental consultants when needed.To succeed in this position, you will need:Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.Minimum Four-year college degree in environme
