Environmental Monitoring Equipment Installer (Healthcare)We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Monitoring Equipment Installer to join our team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in working within IT environments and the ability to use sound judgment to ensure optimal installation and functionality. This position is in a hospital environment.Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure environmental monitoring devices to accurately track room and refrigerant temperatures across various hospital departments.
  • Utilize Wi-Fi or data jack connections to ensure seamless data transmission and integration with existing systems.
  • Perform light wiring tasks as needed for equipment installation, adhering to hospital safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT and facility management teams to assess installation sites and determine optimal strategies for equipment placement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any connectivity or installation issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and system checks for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Follow safety protocols and best practices during installation and maintenance, with a strong focus on patient safety and infection control.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in installing and configuring environmental monitoring systems or similar technology, preferably in healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with IT environments and networking principles.
  • Basic electrical and wiring skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and good judgment in technical decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant certifications or training in environmental monitoring or IT systems is a plus.
  • Work will be performed in various indoor environments within the hospital, including patient care areas and equipment rooms.
  • Some lifting and physical activity may be required.
  • May involve working at heights or in confined spaces, with a focus on patient safety and infection control.
