Piper Companies is currently seeking an Environmental Monitoring Specialist for an opportunity in Durham, North Carolina (NC), to join a multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer bringing forward life-saving medications and vaccines.
Responsibilities of the Environmental Monitoring Specialist
* Ensure material inside products is manufactured, processed, tested, packaged, stored and distributed, meeting incredibly high standards of quality and regulatory requirements
* Test utility systems, execute environmental sampling, provide data entry, review data, summarize test results, support performance qualification activities, monitor personnel, submit LIMS sample rejections, author and summarize re-qualification, performance qualification, and special study protocols, and document control of logbooks
* Areas of responsibility include EM Plates, TOC analysis, Conductivity, Biological Indicators, KTA LAL, Bioburden, Growth Promotion, Micro-IDs, Gas Testing, LIMS, SAP, Trackwise, and Investigations
Qualifications of the Environmental Monitoring Specialist
* 1+ year of relevant post-degree work in Environmental Monitoring, Aseptic Manufacturing or Microbiological Laboratory Operations
* Basic understanding of GMPs and of regulatory requirements as they apply to the vaccine, sterile pharmaceutical or related fields
* Bachelor of Arts or Science preferably in a science discipline
Compensation for the Environmental Monitoring Specialist
* Salary Range: $30 - $35 / hour
