What You'll Do:

Are you a seasoned environmental professional ready to develop and lead a team of experts in a dynamic and innovative company? ECS, a leader in environmental consulting and engineering, is seeking an experienced Environmental Principal to join our team in Houston, Austin, or San Antonio, TX. This is your chance to make a significant impact in the field of environmental engineering, drive strategic initiatives, and mentor the next generation of environmental leaders.

As an Environmental Principal at ECS, you will:

  • Lead and oversee clients, projects, project managers, and staff across our Southwest subsidiary.
  • Serve as the final reviewer for technical reports, ensuring top-notch quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive business development efforts by nurturing client relationships and supporting the marketing department with proposal development.
  • Mentor and coach both experienced and junior environmental staff, fostering their professional growth.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following areas: Environmental Compliance and Due Diligence, Assessment & Remediation, Natural Resources, or Industrial Hygiene/IAQ.
  • Participate in the review committee for Associate Principal candidates.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into engineering and construction projects.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Natural Resources/Forestry, Soil Science, Geomorphology, Hydrology/Hydrogeology.
  • Experience: 12+ years of professional environmental experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Credentials: One or more of the following professional certifications: Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Environmental Manager (R.E.M.), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Waste Materials Manager (CHMM), Professional Wetlands Scientist (PWS), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Licensed Soil Scientist (LSS), Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE), Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA), Certified Environmental Manager (CEM), or Professional Geologist (P.G.).
