Terracon is seeking an experienced environmental practitioner, and accomplished Project Manager to join our team and support the Western Michigan area!Terracon works on a diverse set of projects including environmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESAs); comprehensive site characterization and risk assessments; remedial design, installation, and O&M; environmental planning; and asbestos & industrial hygiene (IH) projects. We are a multi-discipline solution provider including geotechnical and materials services. We share your passion.Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of projects of various sizesWork with client or National Account Manager (NAM) to define project scope, schedule, and budgetDesign, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing a projectLead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety planResolve operational problems and minimize delaysIdentify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the projectPrepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractorsPartner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the projectConduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project teamCoordinates with Authorized Project Review (APR) to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for quality reviewsCoordinates with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing, and collectionsDevelop understanding and be aware of project-related risk; be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company; be familiar with company risk policiesLead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines; responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices; promotes pre-task planning for all projectsPromote continuous quality monitoring and improvement of projects; monitor quality standards and practices; engage APRs on projects at their onsetRequirements:BS/BA degree in technical discipline practiced by the Firm including Engineering, Geology, or Environmental ScienceMinimum of 5 years relevant professional experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years' related experienceValid driver's license with acceptable violation historyPreferred Certification:Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationPE or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managedAbout TerraconTerracon is a 100 percent employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm comprised of more than 6,000 curious minds focused on solving engineering and technical challenges from more than 175 locations nationwide.
