Job Description:

We are looking for a person willing to work in the field & brings a great can-do attitude and wants to learn and grow with a company that gives them the opportunity to do so. If you have worked as an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, Geoscientist, or Project Manager in the Environmental Consulting sector, then you are what we are looking for! The right candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of practical, hands-on experience in the field working on environmental projects and managing projects from conception to closeout.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage all aspects of all assigned projects. This can include large scale and complex projects.
  • You will need to meet project priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
  • You will communicate with the clients and deliver work products to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors.
  • Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete. Prepares forecasts for expenditures and manages scope, schedule to meet budget.
  • Partner with other offices to secure specialized resources for the project.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company.
  • Be familiar with company risk policies.
  • Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.
  • Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices.
  • Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
  • Perform routine Site Visits and Site evaluations.
  • Assist and manage/mentor junior staff and field crew.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • We are looking for someone that is professionally integrated with the Environmental Consulting industry in Carlsbad.

Required Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, related environmental/engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Minimum of 4 years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and Phase II LSIs.

· A diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water.)

· Asbestos, radon and/or lead-based sampling experience and credentials preferred, but not required.

· Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients and subcontractors.

· Ability to meet deadlines, both internally and externally.

· Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities.

· Independently problem solve and work autonomously with a sense of urgency.

· Exceptional writing, grammatical and verbal communication skills.

· Required knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (Microsoft Office and Adobe).

· Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
